As Interreg prepares to travel to the European Capitals of Culture Gorizia and Nova Gorica for Interreg GO! Interact is celebrating the fact that more than half of the available Interreg funds in this period have been committed to projects.
Research conducted by Interact, utilising the keep.eu database of programmes, projects and partners, alongside the Open Data platform has confirmed that alongside the 52% of funds committed to projects.
The indicative data also shows that at least another 315 million euros of Interreg funds have been included in calls, and are now in progress of being evaluated.
The timeline shows how quickly Interreg moved, and that the 4.5 billion identified as having been in calls in the 2023 report, was quickly progressed to being selected.
The final validation of the data hopes to increase the amount of funds noted as under evaluation, or in planned calls later this year.
