Cooperation can be complex;
our job is to make it easier.

Interreg Cooperation Day

On or around 21 September every year, Interreg comes together to celebrate 'Interreg cooperation Day', a Europe-wide campaign facilitated by Interact, but led by Interreg programmes and partners who organise events around the continent to connect cooperation with local audiences. Interreg Cooperation Day┬┤s specific mission is to showcase to society projects that reduce disparities between countries and demonstrate the benefits of regional cooperation.

The theme for 2024 is 'Cooperation overcoming borders'. A moment for us to reflect on the impact borders had within Europe, and the many steps taken to reduce the obstacles these borders have on daily life, from the right to travel and study, to live and work, and the emerging world of cross border service delivery.

Where to start

The campaign launches in spring, with a guide and two online events. The launch event will provide comprehensive insights into key aspects and the second one will offer programmes instructions about Interact's joint promotion social media campaign.

By late spring, programmes will be asked to register to receive support from Interact

Can't wait to get started? Then dive into the 2023 materials and get inspired from the formats and event options suggested.

What we are working on

Interact offers a full range of services to the programmes to build on in promoting their own local events, as part of a wider social media campaign.

The services cover: official identity branding, customisable promotional video, social media boosting campaign, website visibility, a competition to highlight the best local events, a practical guide with ideas for local events and step-by-step instructions on organising activities, and daily individual advice and support.

The impacts of the campaign are also analysed to support continuous improvements in the campaign.
