Workshop on irregularities, fraud, and conflict of interest
Following the needs assessment led by Interact throughout the Interreg programmes, a clear demand has emerged for a dedicated workshop focused on the effective and efficient application of the mechanisms for preventing, detecting, reporting, correcting and following up on irregularities and fraud.
This online workshop will offer participants a comprehensive understanding of the legal framework, institutional responsibilities, and practical tools related to tackling irregularities, fraud, and conflicts of interest within the Interreg context.
Dr Andon Georgiev Tashukov from the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO) will lead the session and provide a comparative overview of the role and mandate of AFCOS, OLAF and EPPO, practical methods to identify red flags and suspicious activities and an overview of the reporting processes to OLAF and EPPO.
