Regions for Economic Change
Regions for Economic Change is a new Territorial Cooperation objective for the 2007-13 programming period, which aims to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of regional and urban networks.
Regions for Economic Change is a new initiative adopted by the Commission on 8 November 2006. It aims to find new methods of stimulating urban and regional networks, and to help them to work more closely with the Commission.
The main outcome of this is the chance to have innovative ideas tested, disseminated and implemented more rapidly in the Convergence, ETC and Regional Competitiveness and Employment programmes.
It is possible for the various network projects linked to Regions for Economic Change to be financed by INTERREG IVC and URBACT II.
