This strategic project is funded by the Romania-Bulgaria Cross-Border Cooperation Programme under the European Territorial Cooperation 2007-2013.

Objectives & Activities

Economic and social development of the Romania-Bulgaria border area on the basis of partnership between the R&D&I, universities, central and local administration and SMEs.

Specific objective no.1: To create a comprehensive and accurate image of the R&D&I status in the cross-border area.

Specific objective no. 2: To develop the R&D&I in the cross-border area and its contribution to local development.

Specific objective no. 3: To create a database with relevant information in the cross-border area focused on R&D&I.

Specific objective no. 4: To disseminate the project results at a regional, national and international level

The main activities of the strategic project are:

Project preparation;
Project managing;
Evaluation of the R&D&I units;
Establishing and operating the Council for the Cross-Border Innovative Development (Rinno Council);
Setting up and developing strategies;
Organizing and developing RINNO Training Center;
Developing the Rinno Model of Innovative Development;
Rinno Prizes, generating, using and developing the Rinno platform;
Information campaign.
