Danube Bridge 2
For over 400 km there has been only one bridge between Romania and Bulgaria crossing the Danube. Currently Danube Bridge 2 is being built between Vidin and Calafat, with two lanes in each direction for road traffic as well as a central railway line.

For over 400 km there has been only one bridge between Romania and Bulgaria crossing the Danube. Currently Danube Bridge 2 is being built between Vidin and Calafat, with two lanes in each direction for road traffic as well as a central railway line. The new bridge, funded by the European commission, will improve tourism and the economical connection between these two regions.
