Lab Group to Establish Mediterranean Platform and Seminar on Strategic Project Management

INTERACT Points Valencia and Vienna organised a seminar on strategic project generation, assessment and monitoring which coincided with the official launch of a lab group for a Mediterranean Platform. Developing strategic projects is not an easy task for European Territorial Cooperation Programmes. The seminar in Palermo therefore dealt with all aspects of strategic project management in Southern Europe from project generation and assessment to monitoring. Programmes were given the opportunity to share their experience in this area and to become acquainted with new approaches.

In addition, the first meeting of a lab group for a Mediterranean Platform was held with the aim of identifying common solutions to technical challenges of programme and project management in Southern Europe.

The seminar and lab group meeting were open to staff from Managing Authorities and Joint Technical Secretariats, as well as national and regional contact points in Southern Europe (including some of the IPA and ENPI programmes).
