This conference was the second of a series of events organised in the framework of the preparation of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region. The next conference will take place in Vienna/Bratislava on 19-21 April 2010.
This conference was organised in the framework of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region and focused on the socio-economical and environmental pillars of the Strategy.

- The socio-economic aspects of the Danube strategy
- Prosperity and cultural identity of the Danube region
The conference was co-organised by the European Commission and the Government of Hungary.
