The Future of INTERREG: Your Input Needed
03.02.2009
INTERACT online consultation on the Cohesion Policy green paper.
The European Commission is currently running a consultation on proposals for the future of Cohesion Policy including the European Territorial Cooperation programmes (INTERREG). This process aims not just to develop a shared concept of territorial cohesion but also to inform the policy response and the management of the programmes implementing this policy.
The Commission is particularly interested in hearing views and concrete proposals from those who actually implement cooperation programmes and projects. This includes ideas for improving the management and administration of cooperation programmes and projects as well as their quality, results and impacts. INTERACT has therefore created an online platform for you to submit your comments.
Although many people have already had an opportunity to express their views as part of programme or Member State proposals, this online platform is intended as means for those who dont wish to submit a formal position but feel that you have important points to make. Anyone who has already submited a comment can of course still use this service to make additional points.
All comments submitted will be collected in a paper and submitted to the Commission by the deadline on 28 February 2009.
INTERACT will collect the contact details of each person submitting a comment in order to help us with ordering the responses but this information will be confidential and will not be shared outside the programme unless you state that you are willing to be identified as the author. We will include all comments in the final paper provided that any critical comments on current implementation arrangements are explained and include constructive proposals for change.
The deadline for submitting your comments is Friday 21 February to allow us sufficient time to gather and order your responses in a joint paper. To submit your comments, use the following links:
View the form in English.
View the form in French.
View the form in German.
Fill in your contact details and you will get access to the full list of questions from the green paper. Please note that it is the last questions which particularly focus on on programme management but you are of course also welcome to submit comments on the other questions. You just enter your response and submit.
The short text from the green paper and annexes can be downloaded here and should be consulted before submitting comments.
