Network Programmes
Network programmes cover all the EU-27 countries plus others, and work for the creation of networks to disseminate experience and information, with the aim of developing good practice.
INTERACT is one of three network programmes which are part of the interregional cooperation strand of European Territorial Cooperation. The other two are:
URBACT II
This programme focuses on urban policy themes, by bringing together actors at a local and regional level to exchange experience and facilitate learning. URBACT II aids the creation of thematic networks and working groups between cities, conferences and the development of tools.
ERDF contribution: €53 million.
Countries: EU-27, Norway and Switzerland.
ESPON
The European Spatial Planning Observation Network uses applied research, analysis and tools to provide scientific information for the development of regions and larger territories.
ERDF contribution: €34 million.
Countries: EU-27, Norway, Switzerland, Iceland and Liechtenstein.
