The Joint Technical Secretariat of the Latvia–Lithuania Cross Border Cooperation Programme 2007–2013 is looking for a Project Manager (fluent in Lithuanian and English) to fulfill a temporary vacancy.
The Joint Technical Secretariat of the Latvia–Lithuania Cross Border Cooperation Programme 2007–2013 is looking for a Project Manager (fluent in Lithuanian and English) to fulfill a temporary vacancy.
Required qualifications and experiences:
- University degree in the field of economics/business/public administration;
- Good knowledge of Lithuanian and English languages, both oral and written;
- Very good knowledge of European Union regional development policies and relevant legislation, in particular related to European Territorial Cooperation;
- Awareness of Baltic Sea Region policies. Experience in cooperation projects/programmes will be considered an advantage;
- Programme/project management skills;
- Good writing, communication and presentation skills;
- Ability to work in multi cultural environment;
- Analytical skills;
- Computer literacy;
- Ability to work in a team and undertake leadership in coordinating the implementation of entrusted tasks with other team members;
- Minimum 2 years of practical experience of management of transnational and/or cross-border European Union programmes/projects. Previous experiences of working with European Union ERDF funded programmes/projects will be considered an advantage;
- Previous experiences of working with INTERREG Programmes/projects will be considered an advantage;
- Experience with basic office management and administrative tasks.
Terms of Employment and Selection
The project manager of the Joint Technical Secretariat (JTS) will legally be employed under the Latvian Labour Law by the Latvian State Regional Development Agency. The post for the project manager is in the JTS that is located in Riga, Latvia.
The employment is foreseen on a full-time basis (40 hours a week) provisionally for the period until January 2012. The successful candidate will be expected to commence the work at earliest convenience. A competitive salary will be offered depending on the qualification and experience of the selected candidate.
