INTERACT Point Vienna
INTERACT Point Vienna is responsible for delivering INTERACT services for the south-eastern part of the European Union. It is hosted by the City of Vienna, Austria.
INTERACT Point Vienna develops and offers services addressed to the needs of European Territorial Cooperation programmes, with a specific focus on new Member States, Accession and Pre-Accession Countries.
IP Vienna is the first contact point for 28 cross-border programmes located in this area, covering 11 Member States, 7 candidate and pre-candidate countries, as well as 2 associated countries (Switzerland and Liechtenstein). Services
The core mission of INTERACT Point Vienna, like all four INTERACT Points active under INTERACT II 2007-13, is to identify and spread good governance practices for European Territorial Cooperation programmes, by developing and offering tailor-made services, on the basis of the needs of the programmes (demand-responsive approach), as well as providing the programmes with innovative approaches and inputs. Different types of services can be offered:
- Seminars/workshops to bring people together to share and develop common solutions and good practices
- Advisory services: based on a request by a peculiar programme, country or institution, it can take the form of a meeting, the provision of supporting documentation, etc.
- Creation and stimulation of professional networks
- Handbooks, templates, checklists
- Studies (e.g. background research and collections of good practices)
All topics related to programme and project management (including technical, financial management, as well as the management of information and communication) can be the object of INTERACT services.
Additionally IP Vienna offers specific services such as:
- Support to management structures in the implementation of cross-border IPA programmes located in the south-eastern part of Europe. More information here.
- Support to interested stakeholders in making use of the new community instrument for territorial cooperation, the European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (EGTC). More information here.
- Support, promotion and networking in the framework of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region, in particular promoting the role of territorial cooperation. More information here.

INTERACT Point Vienna is co-financed by the European Regional Development Funds, the EU Member States, Switzerland and Norway.
