The fourth issue of the INTERACT Newsletter covers the theme of evaluation.
You can now find the latest edition of INTERACT's newsletter online. This issue focuses on evaluation.
As you may know, it is very difficult to measure cooperation between the regions and to show the real achievements of the projects. INTERACT is therefore actively supporting the ETC programmes to respond to those challenges.
In this issue, INTERACT Point Viborg will explain its typology system that will help the ETC programmes in evaluating their results.
Moreover, IP Vienna will show the results of the Handbook on ongoing evaluation of Territorial Cooperation programmes that was created by the Laboratory Group on Evaluation. The purpose of the Handbook is to give practical support to the ETC programmes.
Our interview is with Pasi Rantahalvari from the Evaluation Unit at DG Regional Policy on the challenges and opportunities of ongoing evaluation. Instead of the usual mid-term evaluations, it is now recommended to carry out ongoing evaluation.
This issue also offers two guest editorials, one by Richard Hummelbrunner from the Joint Evaluation Team of INTERREG IIIA and one by Allessandra Nicita from the Evaluation Unit of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development.
