Inclusive Growth
One of the three main priorities of the Europe 2020 strategy is Inclusive growth - a high-employemnt economy delivering economic, social and territorial cohesion.
Inclusive growth involves:
- raising Europe's employment rate – more and better jobs, especially for women, young people and older workers,
- helping people of all ages anticipate and manage change through investment in skills & training,
- modernising labour markets and welfare systems ensuring that the benefits of growth reach all parts of the EU.
There are two flagship initiatives set for supporting the reaching of objectives of inclusive growth priority:
- "An Agenda for New Skills and Jobs" - this initiative was created to help the EU reach its employment target for 2020: 75% of the working-age population (20-64 years). For more information please visit this website.
- "European Platform Against Poverty" - this initiative organizes actions to reach the EU target of reducing poverty and social exclusion by at least 20 million by 2020. For more information please visit this website.
