Interact has coordinated a wide participative process, involving several programmes in drafting a set of harmonised implementation tools (HIT) to offer support throughout the programme life cycle. This includes among other things application form template, First Level Control checklist etc ready for use at the start of the 2014-2020 programming period.

These documents are working versions which are continuously improved and updated by the on-going work of Interact and the programmes. The HIT templates and documents form one integrated package for programme implementation, they are logically interconnected. Still, programmes are different, and specific adjustments might be necessary. In this case, adjustments should be kept to a minimum, and remember that harmonisation is in the interest of potential beneficiaries across Europe.
