Financial Management

Financial management of a programme is a process which begins with the negotiation of an Operational Programme and finishes only when the programme is formally closed.

Basics of financial management

Please consult the INTERACT general presentation on financial management to guide you through the basics of financial management in ETC programmes.

In the last programming period, INTERACT prepared the Handbook on financial management. Some rules have obviously changed upon entry into new regulations, but some are still relevant. Regulatory Framework

Financial management of ETC programmes is based on the principles of Financial Regulation governing the establishment and implementation of the EU budget and the control of the European Communities' finances. On the webpage of DG Budget you will find the Financial Regulation, implements rules, as well as proposals for the modification of this regulation.
