Based on the latest research and extensive discussions with both DG Regional Policy and DG Competition, this was the second edition of the INTERACT Seminar offering a practical approach to handling State Aid in European Territorial Cooperation programmes.
This was the updated repeat of the seminar held in Copenhagen on 18 February 2010.
The one-day events started with an overview of the background for the State Aid rules and moves on to consider how to identify potential State Aid cases and how to tackle them when they do arise. The events only considered those issues which are most relevant for cooperation programmes, and emphasise the need for a solution-based approach rather than theory.
