“Roadshow RO-BG”: Cross-border Cooperation Project Management Seminars

Based on a specific need and request from this part of Europe, INTERACT Point Vienna organised series of project management seminars together with the cross-border Joint Technical Secretariats located in Romania and Bulgaria, for the benefit of their beneficiaries and potential applicants.

The first “roadshow”, composed of four one-day seminars back-to-back, was organised in cooperation with the JTS of the CBC RO-BG programme with this schedule:

6 April, Calarasi, County Council premises.
7 April, Ruse.
8 April, Pleven city.
10 April, Dolj.

The objectives of these seminars were to provide beneficiaries and potential applicants with:

Project management training, focused on increasing the quality of CBC projects;
Information and guidance from the programme JTS on the programme requirements and expectations;
A platform for exchange on the challenges and issues of project management and administration in the context of cross-border cooperation.

This included issues such as the project management cycle (from application to closure), project financial management, the cost-benefit analysis, the tasks, role and responsibilities of the lead partner and investment projects versus soft projects. This had both an EU-wide perspective, based on INTERREG III experience and good practice examples, and a focus on examples and inputs live by the programme JTS.
