Danube Area Interregional Group at the Committee of the Regions
The "Danube" Group, set up in January 2009, advocates the development by the European Commission of a "Danube region strategy", to which it wishes to make an effective contribution. It also intends to promote a common identity for the Danube region in order to affirm the region's full potential. Young Citizens Danube Network
Seven people from Slovenia, Romania, Serbia and Germany founded the “Young Citizens Danube Network” in July 2010 in Novi Sad, Serbia, when they first heard about the Strategy. Their aim is to become a youth initiative and, by this, to participate in the European Union Strategy for Danube Region.
