About Us
The INTERACT Programme promotes and supports good governance of European Territorial Cooperation programmes.
INTERACT:
- Targets the institutions and bodies responsible for the management and delivery of European Territorial Cooperation Programmes;
- Provides practical support, trainings and advice to European Territorial Cooperation programmes on management techniques, communication, strategic orientation, and policy development;
- Offers a unique forum for European Territorial Cooperation actors by supporting institutional and thematic networks on topics of common interest;
- Operates by constantly seeking out the users' point of view and involving them as much as possible in delivery of the programme;
- Creates and strengthens a cycle of exchange - learning from each other and together to strengthen territorial cooperation.
INTERACT expertise include:

- Capitalisation on cooperation programmes and projects,
- Strategic programme planning,
- Audit and control,
- Monitoring and evaluation
- Communications.
Cooperation at EU external borders
INTERACT also provides guidance to cooperation programmes between Member States and Candidate and Potential Candidate Countries, co-financed by the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA).
INTERACT ENPI has been set up for supporting cooperation programmes along external borders. The project is funded by the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument.
KEEP
INTERACT's major initiative "KEEP - Knowledge and Expertise in European Programmes" is an online tool and community platform containing comprehensive information on a large number of past and current cooperation projects and programmes. Please click here for more information.

A regionally focused approach allows INTERACT to work more closely with programmes, addressing them via the INTERACT Secretariat and four INTERACT Points located in Turku, Valencia, Viborg, and Vienna. ERDF Funding
INTERACT is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). ERDF helps reduce the gap between development levels and living standards among the regions and the extent to which least-favoured regions are lagging behind. It helps redress the main regional imbalances in the Community by participating in the development and structural adjustments of regions whose development is lagging behind and the economic and social conversion of regions.
