Sharing INTERREG experiences
INTERREG III is a Community Initiative which aims to stimulate interregional cooperation in the EU between 2000-06. It is financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
This INTERREG initiative is designed to strengthen economic and social cohesion throughout the EU, by fostering the balanced development of the continent through cross-border, transnational and interregional cooperation. Special emphasis has been placed on integrating remote regions and those which share external borders with the new Member States.
The INTERACT Programme aims to contribute to the quality of the INTERREG Community Initiative by enabling and encouraging the exchange of experiences and know-how, generated in INTERREG.
The following pages are intended to provide all actors and stakeholders interested in the development and implementation of the INTERREG Community Initiative with a comprehensive repository of information on the INTERREG programmes for Strands A, B and C and for activities covered under Article 53 of the INTERREG guidelines.
The former INTERACT Point, Information and Animation provided this section with clickable maps and summaries of each INTERREG programme, programme documents, links to other websites, a Project Database, Good Practice Projects and Programme Management Tool. Other subsections have been created by the other INTERACT Points and the INTERACT Programme Secretariat.
INTERACT Point Managing Transition and External Cooperation (MT) provides you with the section CBC across EU external borders.
