Sharing INTERREG experiences
The aim of the programme is to further develop the Alpine Space as a powerful area in Europe, by developing and promoting a common understanding of its role in terms of sustainable spatial development. It initiates and supports sustainable development initiatives with a view to achieving higher cohesion and integration between the alpine core region and the fringes of the Alps. It promotes a sustainable mobility and communications and protects the richness of the natural and cultural heritage, preserving the population and infrastructure from natural hazards, by developing common tools and exchanging methods and information.
Austria: Whole country. In France: Rhône-Alpes, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, Franche-Comté, Alsace. In Germany: Oberbayern and Schwaben (in Bavaria), Tübingen and Freiburg (in Baden Württemberg). In Italy: Lombardy, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Veneto, Trentino-Alto Adige, Valle d’Aosta, Piedmont, Liguria. In Slovenia: Whole country. In Switzerland: Whole country. In Liechtenstein: Whole country.
