Northern Periphery

The main objectives of the programme are: a prosperous and sustainable development of the communities' management of distinctive cultural and natural resources, an improved functionality and maximised potential of the NPP and a compensation for permanent disadvantages of harsh climate, long distance, complicated topography and sparse population.

Geographical area

Northern parts of Finland, Scotland, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Greenland, the Faroe Islands and North-West Russia.
