(Strand A) Cross-border cooperation

(SK/CZ) Slovakia - Czech Republic

The global objective of the programme is to support economically, socially and culturally integrated cross-border regional development by means of supporting tourism, the preservation of cultural traditions and rural development. The following areas are prioritised:
-Creation of a common vision of an integrated regional economy, social cohesion and good neighbourhood relationships;
-Indirect support of cross-border cooperation of entrepreneurs subjects;
-Stable growth on both sides of the region with a broad emphasis on the joint accession process to the EU;
-Protection of natural and cultural heritage and the needs of local social groups.

Geographical area

In Slovakia: The regions of Žilina, Trenčín and Trnava. In Czech Republic: The regions of Moravian-Silesian, Zlín and South-Moravian.
