The aim of the programme is to develop an economically as well as socio-culturally integrated cross-border region.

Geographical area

In Austria: Länder of Burgenland and Vienna, the NUTS-III region Wiener Umland Süd (Southern part of Vienna-surroundings) and the bordering region Niederösterreich Süd (Southern Lower Austria). In Hungary: Part of the cooperation space consists of the Komitats (counties) Györ-Moson-Sopron, Vas and Zala.
