Vacancies at the Transnational Cooperation Programme MED

The Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur Region (PACA) is looking for candidates for 11 positions for the Transnational Cooperation Programme MED (2007-2013). The programme aims at stimulating competitiveness and promoting sustainable development in the Mediterranean area with 4 major directions of development: promoting innovation and economic development; putting forward territorial resources, limiting human impact on the environment and preventing risks; improving accessibility and mobility; promoting sustainable urban development.

The following positions are now open:

Joint Technical Secretariat:
1 Coordinator of the JTS: In charge of overall coordination of the JTS
3 Project Officers MED/CIGP: Responsible for relations with project promoters, assume project evaluation procedure, etc.
2 Monitoring Officers MED/RM: Responsible for financial flows, financial controls and monitoring of on-gong projects.
2 Assistant MED/AS: Responsible for operational management of JTS, including Administrative tasks such as preparation of meetings, timetables, etc.
1 Communication Officer MED/CC: Responsible for drafting and implementing the Programme Communication Plan, capitalisation and visibility of the MED programme on the Community level.

Liaison Officers:
Liaison Officer Valencia MED/CLE: Coordinates the joint activities between the MED and the Neighbourhood CBC Mediterranean Basin programmes; provides support to the transnational and national units of the two programmes.

Liaison officer Thessaloniki MED/CLG: He or she coordinates and capitalises the partnerships of the programme with IPA countries

Candidates should be completely fluent in English and in French, and able to use at least one of the other programme languages. Candidates can either be contracted for a limited time, or have the permanent status of a public officer in another institution.
