INTERACT Point Vienna / Turku

The INTERACT Point Vienna / Turku is based in Austria and Finland: under INTERACT I (2003-2007) as the INTERACT Point Managing Transition and External Cooperation and in INTERACT II (2007-2013) there will be two separate INTERACT Points, one in Vienna, Austria and one in Turku, Finland, both having their geographically focused operation area.

The objectives of IP Vienna / Turku are to:

IP Vienna / Turku is exclusively concerned with the 10 new Member States, the regions of five "EU 15" Member States - Finland, Germany, Austria, Italy and Greece - with borders to the new Member States, and the new EU external border regions. IP Vienna / Turku works with the New Neighbourhood Programmes within the framework of Tacis, Phare and CARDS.

The INTERACT Point Vienna / Turku offers consultancy services in the form of individual advisory services, training opportunities, management tools and information services. All of these services are provided through both INTERREG professionals and the IP Vienna / Turku team. The services are made available to those working in all three strands of INTERREG from the policy level through the programming level and down to the project level. IP Vienna / Turku's work is demand driven and coordinates its activities with 15 Nominated Contact Persons (NCPs).
