Outline A training session was offered in Brno for the regional offices of the Centre for Regional Development, which perform the first-level control for the three INTERREG strands in all INTERREG programmes in which the Czech Republic participates (5 in total). Addressing a group of 25 participants, Mr Carlos Bolaňos, Financial Manager at the INTERREG III C East Secretariat, focused his training on the basic principles of checking and certifying the eligibility of expenditures. Ms Jitka Křepelová, the CADSES contact person in Czech Republic, highlighted the specificities of first-level control and eligibility within strand B. A second workshop on strands A and B has been organised in Prague on 11 and 12 April 2005.
