MT Workshop at the Seminar "Experiences of East-West-Co-operation in the CADSES area" organised by City of Stuttgart, Germany
Leipziger Messe, Leipzig, Germany
23 October 2006
The City of Stuttgart has achieved a significant experience in the cooperation with partners from the old EU-15 and new EU-5 member states.

In particular, following projects have been carried out involving Partners from both the new and the old member states:

- 2000 – 2003: Forschungsprojekt INCORE (Integrated Concept for Groundwater Remediation) im 5. Forschungsrahmenprogramm mit der Stadt Bydgoszcz und dem Polnischen Geologischen Institut in Warschau (Polen)
- 2003 – 2006: INTERREG III B CADSES Projekt PROSIDE (Promoting Sustainable Inner Urban Development) mit Budapest (Ungarn), Lodz (Polen) und Ploiesti (Rumänien)
- from 2005: INTERREG III B CADSES Projekt CoUrbIT (Complex Urban Investment Tools) mit Budapest (Ungarn) und Krakau (Polen)
- from 2005: INTERREG III B CADSES Projekt MAGIC (Management of Groundwater at Industrially Contaminated Areas) mit Olsztyn (Polen) und Ostrava (Tschechien).

Even though these projects achieved (or are achieving) their major goals, they have experienced some bottlenecks and delays in the implementation, due e.g. to heavy administrative and management procedures of some partners.

The City of Stuttgart requested INTERACT Point MTEC to support the project partners in the definition of the above mentioned bottlenecks and in outlining possible solutions.

The proposed approach and possible solution resulting from the workshop should be made available to the entire INTERREG partnerships for further reflection and discussion.
