After the success of the first INTERACT Seminar on the EGTC (European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation, created by Regulation (EC) No 1082/2006), a repeat is organised in Brussels on 10-11 April 2008. The Seminar will aim at promoting the use of this instrument in the INTERREG/European Territorial Cooperation community, both for programme and project management.

This seminar is organised by INTERACT in cooperation with the South East Europe Joint Technical Secretariat, the Sarajevo Canton and the European Commission (DG Enlargement and DG Regional Policy). The Seminar’s objective is to provide information and a forum to discuss open questions regarding the main arrangements for the participation of candidate and potential candidate countries in the two transnational programmes South East Europe and MED.

The Cross Border Cooperation programmes on European external borders are going through a transitional development from implementing separate instruments on both sides of border to merging two instruments (ERDF and ENPI) into one programme funding. To enable all programme partners to exchange experiences on the progress on preparation of ENPI CBC programmes and on the interpretation of the ENPI Regulation as well as application of the Implementing Rules, INTERACT is organising a technical conference for all ENPI CBC programmes to discuss the management structures being proposed.

An International seminar on Neighbourhood Programmes was held on 27 and 28 January 2005 in Warsaw. The event was organised by the INTERACT Point Managing Transition and External Cooperation in close collaboration with the Polish Ministry of Economy and Labour.
