This event also aimed to bring together a IIIA network of programme staff for the first time. There are several hundred people in different regions around Europe all dealing with similar programme implementation tasks. Establishing an informal network (mainly IIIA staff working for a MA, PA or JTS) will offer the chance to share successes and challenges.

At the seminar, presentations and overviews on key aspects of preparing Objective 3 programmes for cross-border regions were mixed with discussions in smaller groups relating to the experiences and current situations in the different programmes.
