Sharing INTERREG experiences
This was the second network meeting of finance staff from the INTERREG III B and C programmes. The agenda built on discussions from earlier this year in Paris. The seminar was organized jointly by INTERACT Point for Qualification and Transfer and the III B Baltic Sea Programme.
7 INTERREG III B transnational programmes: Alpine Space, Baltic Sea, CADSES, MEDOCC, North Sea, North West Europe, SUDOE, and 3 inter-regional programmes: East, North and South zones took part. Additionally a representative of the URBACT programme attended the seminar.
The aim of the seminar was to exchange experience between various INTERREG programmes, identify issues that continue to cause problems and together discuss soulutions or sources of information. Discussions focused on unclear aspects of elligibility, the quality of projects, monitoring and controlling project spending. Participants also got an up-date on the programmes' current N+2 status and presented their experience and ideas on how to avoid de-commitment. These discussions resulted in a number of clarifications on interpretation of the regulations and recommendations for the current programmes and the new period.
