INTERACT and DG Regional Policy organised a seminar specifically targeted at staff working on programming the new cross-border programmes. Representatives of the Commission including Elisabeth Helander (Director) and Colin Wolfe (Head of unit) were present to answer directly to the questions of over 100 participants coming from nearly all future Cross Border Cooperation Programmes.

The event targeted three main objectives:
- To provide an opportunity for discussing issues which require particular attention in the new programming period.
- To allow dialogue and feedback between programme representatives and Commission staff based on the draft OPs.
- To give programmes a chance to ask their questions about the new period It was the occasion for everyone to clarify misunderstandings and exchange views with the Commission and other programmes on the progress of the Operational Programmes.
