This first meeting of maritime cross-border programmes provided platform to discuss opportunities and limitations of cooperation across the sea in the new programme period.

This seminar aimed to support IIIA programmes in their preparation work for the new Cooperation Objective programmes. It was a repeat of the same event that took place in Bratislava in March this year.

All INTERREG cross-border programmes were invited to this seminar covering what needs to happen in the programme preparation process, giving guidance on what requirements that should be fulfilled and providing updates on the latest developments in ongoing negotiations.

The seminar is the third in a series of four that together will involve as many of the INTERREG programmes for cross-border cooperation as possible. The main objective is to support the exchange of knowledge and best practice between programme management bodies in IIIA programmes.

This workshop brought together professionals involved in the transnational INTERREG programmes and ESPON to discuss how the programmes can strengthen their joint impact on the European territory now and in the next period.

Two seminars have now been held for the established programmes on the old internal borders of the former EU15 countries. The main objective of these events was to support the exchange of knowledge and best practice between programme management bodies in INTERREG IIIA programmes.
