Sharing INTERREG experiences
The unwritten rules of making plans, which are subject to cultural influences, can take one by surprise. Cultural planning differences could complicate a project when not recognised in time. The contrasts in planning cultures are one of the main obstacles in realising genuine cooperation in INTERREG III. This broad variety of planning cultures could also inspire innovation!
This Symposium will focus on the influence of cultural differences in INTERREG III projects, on the planning process and on finding ways to cope with the cultural differences, so an important obstacle for cooperation can be reduced.
In the mid term evaluations of INTERREG, culture was mentioned as a major factor determining the success or failure of programs and projects. Culture has a wide range of manifestations. Culture can be a problem in a consensus driven project; it can be an inspiring source of innovation in a governance oriented project!
We would like to invite you to share new ideas involving the cultural challenges in the next programming period in general and Transnational Regional Cooperation.
