Cross-border Territories: Day-to-Day Europe

08.11. - 09.11. - Lille, France

Close to 800 participants are expected to boost reflection on the political and operational issues of cross-border cooperation in Europe. (Languages of the conference: English, French, German)

On the occasion of its 10th anniversary, the Mission Opérationnelle Transfrontalière is organising this major European conference on the political and operational issues of cross-border cooperation.

Through reports on practical experience, panel discussions and thematic workshops, this conference will highlight practical projects and produce a white paper presenting the issues and formal proposals for the future of cross-border cooperation in Europe. The discussions will be structured around 12 thematic workshops, each tasked with putting forward 5 or 6 concrete proposals. This will enable recommendations for cross-border cooperation to be drawn up and sent to the national governments in Europe and to the European community institutions.

CRegional policy commissioner Danuta Hübner and Committee of the Regions president Michel Delebarre will take part in the event. Ministers from different European countries and political actors, leaders of territorial cross-border projects will also attend.
