Fourth Cohesion Forum

27.09. - 28.09. - Brussels, Belgium

On 27 and 28 September 2007, the Fourth Cohesion Forum will be held in Brussels. Based on the findings and issues of the Fourth Report on Economic and Social Cohesion which the European Commission adopted on 30 May this year, the event will be attended by over 800 European, national, regional and local repesentatives from all EU Member States and the candidate countries.

Among those addressing the conference will be the Prime Minister of Portugal, José Sócrates Carvalho Pinto de Sousa, and Mr Jean-Claude Juncker, Prime Minister of Luxembourg. It is on the occasion of the Forum that Regional Policy Commissioner Hübner will launch an EU-wide public consultation on how cohesion policy can best continue to foster regional development and convergence.
