New Mediterranean Cooperation Policies: a focus on cross-border and environmental themes

Short seminar on Med cooperation policies organised by the INTERACT Project INTERMED. The main focus will be the opportunity given to the environmental issues by the new territorial cooperation programmes and the LIFE+ programme.

The Mediterranean basin has been one of the cradles for the development of the modern human society and its potential springs from the fact it is the geographical meeting point amid three continents. Nowadays, it rises once more to the attention of Politics and INTERMED is an INTERACT Project dealing with the peculiar challenges facing Mediterranean countries on their way to merge their civilisations into a new model for a future sustainable development.
