Conference "The INTERACT TranSEA project for territorial cooperation and environment: Which contribution to the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA)?"

Final Conference of the Tran.SEA project, dealing with the implementation of the Strategic Environmental Assessment in the new interregional cooperation projects.

This conference will host different speakers from the partner regions, experts on strategic environmental assessment, officials from the European Commission and Member States, examples of good practices and proposals for the improvement of the environmental sustainability of the coming interregional cooperation.

The project TranSEA aims to respond to the need for an effective and coordinated cooperation across the borders in the field of integration of environmental aspects into strategic decision-making and at operational level. The application of SEA will furthermore contribute to more transparent planning by involving the public and by integrating environmental considerations. This will help to achieve the goal of sustainable development.
